It's whatever BigD wants it to be *pretty much, which is a friendlier, more baseball-y alternative "Daily Thread". I think...
reminder from Zig:
Keep it "Work safe" as far as pics and "family friendly" as far as language...check the TOS in the "Site Rules" if you have to...
Hopefully everyone understands the rules need to be followed due to us having a host (And enemies lol) The TOS stuff is all I really care about, otherwise BigD will be "in charge" in here and if he wants to add any rules that's up to him...

At least temporarily I am going to make this area accessible to all members instead of having it be a "group". But to be clear this forum is for good, friendly baseball talk. Anyone that can't play nice and obey the rules will lose the ability to post in here. That is mostly going to be BigD's call but all mods have the ability to kick posters out of this area if necessary.
As of now if you get you added to the "restricted group" (which is what will happen if you act up in here!) you'll only be able to post in the Daily Thread Forum and /or the Hole...You may or may not get a second chance to post in the Baseball Den.

I am floored. FLOORED I tell you. A little slice of heaven, all for little old me. Well, not just for me, but for everyone who wants to talk baseball, as that is my speciality. So, it you have any questions about a particular player or team, I would be happy to share my opinion.
Please note that I don't mess around with this, and would never give bunk advice just to be cute or funny. That said, just remember, with said advice, you get what you pay for. So, if my info does not work, at least know it was the best I could give based on the info I have and kind find.
So, fire away.

Here is my take of the "what is this" here. Or, at least what I hope this thread will be.
I am a lifelong baseball fan, with a strong fantasy baseball bent. I'm old enough to have been introducted to baseball by listening to Vin Scully on an old transistor radio under the covers when I was supposed to be in bed, and, having been playing fantasy baseball in one form or another since Carlton Fisk & George Brett were still viable options, and we kept score by hand, using the Wednesday USA Today as a stats guide.
As such, I think I can help people with questions and insight, and, I will do so to the best of my ability.
So, come. Join in. Ask. Tell your tales.
I will be around mostly Mon - Fri, 7:30 a.m - 5:00 p.m PACIFIC

During the height of soccer talk, I set up my own thread in the baseball area here, as I just could not take anymore. Then, soccer ended, and I came back to posting on the daily. Shortly after that, Zig took it on himself to set up a more official spot for me, with the big change and difference being that it was private like the daily is. After some back and forth between us, he opened it up to all, and merged the thread I started with this one, or so he said. I have no read any back pages myself to be sure. So, it is just this one for me. Not THIS, this one, but the one in my name here. |
