I'm not a gun guy but we've gone way past being able to really do anything about the problem. We've actually gone backwards with the making of weapons like the AK being "legal" starting in 2004 and more recently making it easier for those with possible mental issues to get a gun. THat's scary combo right there isnt it? And it just seems shady that the NRA gives 30 mil to the Trump campaign and first thing Trump does is make it easier for all to get a gun or 10...
The 2nd amendment actually looks kind of silly now doesnt it? Basically you can have "Arms" to defend yourself from the Govt...Well first the Govt and especially our military would not try to kill or "come after" all of us or even any of us. But if they did,,,Your AK aint going to help you brother. All of us having AKs aint going to help...Nobody needs anything like that, period. You should be able to defend yourself if needed with a regular old gun or rifle.
I think every state should have the same Laws/tests concerning guns and sales. Start with no more of these semi automatic weapons. If you own now and show any signs of crazy, you lose it. And for fucks sakes, it was not smart to make it easier for the mentally not right to get a gun... But it's tough to put the paste back in the tube...There probably needs to be a whole different discussion about how to make the schools safe. I dont think the answer is more guns...
