Leafs in town tonight , which is cool , except the loonies are calling in to talk radio and reminding us of why many Canadians do not like the Leafs. Not so much the Team , but the fan base The fan base sucks donkey dick and that's the nicest thing I can think of to say about them. It would help if the League didn't kowtow to the team and their fans as if the Leaf's are still the most important team in the NHL/World when they haven't been relevant since 1967. It would be like the NFL kowtowing to the Browns.

By the way, it was 5 - 4. I'm a little under the weather right now, so I'm not functioning properly. I did, however hear that Murray is out with a "lower body" injury and they have recalled DeSmith from Wilkes-Barre. I knew what you meant.
Damn!!! DeSmith gets a second chance to be the back-up. Hope he redeems himself but the D had better pick it up and start playing much better for that to happen!!!!!!
I didn't think he got a fair shot last time. He got stuck in the middle of a bad game where Murray had already gotten shelled and the team just didn't have it that night. Maybe the guys will feel sorry for the kid and step up their game for him. He'll probably get a shot this weekend when the Pens go home and home against Buffalo.

Seriously. I never knew that they kept that level of statistics on hockey. I mean baseball moves at a snail's pace so I can see keeping all those numbers to give yourself something to do. But hockey?

Jarry's first NHL shutout. They beat the hapless Sabres last night 5 - 1. Jarry made some nice saves both nights, but like I've been telling the Penguin faithful, it was only the Sabres. I'm a little disappointed they didn't play DeSmith in goal. It would have been a nice game to break him in on. Maybe they're waiting for when they play the Wings.

Impressive for its length, but it can't top Johnson's one punch knock out of Dipietro.

There is no way I'm clicking on that link while I'm at work. It's pretty obscene. The Oil score on their own net to hand the Leafs the game.

Let's have a moment of silence for Harry Crack and the Calgary Flames. The Flyers came into town riding a 10 game losing streak, but the Flames somehow managed to let them win.

Remember when the Stars won 5 in a row and looked like they were getting it together and the next three games would show where we stood against some of the better teams in the West?
Good times.
Nashville showed them they aren't there yet. Blues tonight.
