And the breakdown of the deal makes it even sweeter. Base drops the last three years to around $3.5M per year. Nill is a genius. Thought they outlawed those kinda deals. Well I guess in three years he can flip him to Arizona or Carolina for a cap filling budget team floor filling needs . Probably get a pick or a prospect then as well |

You may not have heard... Our goalie situation has been somewhat stabilized. Thanks for asking though. If Dallas isn't interested than Calgary should be. With the need to buy out Niemi (they are keeping Kari) along with Bishop (I can't tell you how happy I am about him coming here), the Stars will already have too much invested at Goal. But - I'm sure Harry won't dispute you. The Flames could definitely use an upgrade there. |

I don't remember what the cap impacts are but with Bishop's friendly contract, they will still have room to go get a top line D-Man through a trade if they choose. |

A solid Defenseman would be more than welcome here. Tanev is great doesn't care about stats gets the puck out of his end real well also. Never going to be mistaken for PK but great on the PK as well. I don't want to see him go but rebuilds you have to tear it all down. This rebuild on the fly is BS, you can't have a big gap in age from your core to your next core players like the Canucks do. Burn it to the ground and restart with Horvat and the next gen. See ya all |
