Bench players are $5 on current roster (not counting against your starting cap)......so they are $10 the following year.
Again, some strategy involved in that....if you have a sleeper you want him for $1 so you try and through him out in the starting lineup draft.

not really 23 man roster and a $250 cap i have trout and altuve for $96, so i have to be careful with the rest of my roster now We do ours: 9 bats (the 8 positions and utility) and 7 pitchers........for $260. Once everyone's starting roster is filled, we do snake draft for the bench players. You can't bid on bench players......which makes it tricky because someone like me who is keeping cano and dozier.....I am not allowed to bid on a 2b. AL only. we have 2 catchers, MI, CI, Util and 5 OFs, then regular infield positions and 9 pitchers We also snake for bench players that do not count against our cap. Sexual Healy is keeping Altuve, Castellanos, Healy, Trout, Happ, Strahm, Graveman. |

Thats just their salary if you decide to keep them next year I really like these auction leagues. |

Wow, that is a ton of starting positions for AL only. I'd struggle with that, I have a tough time with ours.
But yeah, auction is by far the best. It's combining poker with fantasy sports.

8 team, sometimes 9 but 8 this year, AL Only 5X5 BA, HR, RBI, R, Steals Whip, ERA, Wins, Ks, Saves + Holds your league is pretty hardcore. yeah, ive never met those guys i was a last minute replacement 4 years ago. took 3 years to figure it out, and got a free entry this year one of the guys has a $500 NL only with keepers, but I cant justify dropping that kind of money |

Our auction is in person. One of the guys owns a pretty nice company so we sit in his board room and go at it. Auctioneer is a mutual buddy of all of us, gets to eat and drink whatever we bring. Dude has a mallet and everything.
It's always good for a few friendly heated arguments. The food is the best part.

So the auction is online? yep, on cbs they've tried to do it in person, but its too hard trying to get 12 people to commit to meeting somewhere. it usually takes 3-4 hours |
