ADHD kids can be high IQ. It's an indepentent factor. It's made worse by excessive video game play or television watching. Diet is a huge part. The brain fails to re-wire itself correctly to correct the problem. I have 2 kids that were ADHD risks in elementary school. I refused to medicate. It was tough as hell for a few years. I retrained them to structure their day, tolerated no misbehavior, increased their exercise through activities, and limited electronics. They are now both honors students. The American population is way over-medicated. Big Pharma is as evil as Phillip Morris and Monsanto. I applaud you on that, that's how you be a parent! Instead of these lazy fucks just jamming their kids full of unnecessary medication because it's easier than actually disciplining them! |
