Pats would win a shoot out with the Raiders. It would have been more exciting but same result, another trip to the Final 4

It would have been more exciting but same result, another trip to the Final 4 you never know. brady might have had more interceptions with asterisks (off somebody's hands) well I was hoping for a Raiders/Pats game but my "nerves" level would have been about the same as it was for the Brock Lobsters. it's frowned upon here but I give credit to the Texans D for making Brady look not great. They hurried and hit him all night. They got some good shots on him which had some effect like it would on most QBs. He also roasted the blitz quite a few times for big plays...they ended up winning fairly easily but it doesnt seem that way gets a lot tougher next week no matter which team comes in here. KCs D is no joke either, I think they win tonight.

without Dion Lewis, the Patriots lose D was great too, kept getting put in bad situations/short fields to defend and only gave up 16, but you are correct he gotta stop the fumbling though

Actually surprised d lewis was such a big focus of the offense. Figured blount was still slighty sick, but what about james white. Had that one catch but not many more opportunities. Odd.

LeGarrette Blount took a blowtorch to a number of my weekend lineups.

Actually surprised d lewis was such a big focus of the offense. Figured blount was still slighty sick, but what about james white. Had that one catch but not many more opportunities. Odd. There was another game in the second half of the season where Lewis got the bulk of the carries with a healthy Blount. I think that it depends on the matchup. In all honesty, I don't remember the analysis that I read on it...It was something about defenses with a fast front four who pursue well. Lewis has quicker feet to the holes and his relative lack of relative size doesn't hurt them. Against traditional fronts, Blount's size is more relevant, and his lack of quickness (compared to Lewis) doesn't hurt. FWIW, Brady was out of sorts for the whole first half. Texans deserve credit for a great gameplan and a great front 5 (4 + Cushing). I was not at all surprised that they fucked with Brady. They took Edelman and the running game away. Pats turned the ball over too. Against a better team, that game goes down to the last 2 minutes. That's not necessarily something to lose our minds over, as Pats fans. Against a real team, in the playoffs, you turn the ball over, it should be a close game. It's the fucking playoffs. They have plenty to work on. They need to find a way to spring Edelman better. But the defense still didn't give up a touchdown unless the other team was spotted the ball in the fucking red zone. No credit for good defense again.

(13 if you count eric rowe's idiocy). Great defensive game. Especially since they were on the field most of the first half.

I thought they had 13 off TOs, 16 if you count Rowe.
INT: FG Fumble: TD INT: FG

Yeah, and I get that it's against a stiff QB, but still a great defensive performance.
Hopkins was invisible. No running game to speak of.

No surprise to me they use him more in the play offs. He needs to hold on to the fucking ball though. Reminding me of a young Kevin Faulk where you expect a great play but half expect the fumble at the end of the play. yeah wont be hard for Hoody to coach them up/kick their asses this week.

Hopkins has been invisible all year.. That isn't an accomplishment. He's had like 3 good games all year. Brock Lobster and the Texans offensive game plan is soo piss poor.
Texans were 28th in points this year. "The Pats defense didn't completely suck" is more accurate.

Bc the "goat" was carried by his d and RB. he is more of a brady fan than a patriots fan brady exposed as old and will probably be traded to the browns or texans before the draft Chiefs are the only D left that could pose a problem for Tom.

That's my point, Chiefs pass D is up there too, Peters, Berry, good pass rush. 3rd in rating allowed, 7th in pass dvao...legit, like the Texans. More so than the Steelers or any of the NFC teams left...is my point

When the Pats lose it is usually because the other teams D pummels Brady and they can't score, see: Giants, Broncos, Ravens...none of those teams had great offenses either, they had great Ds. That's the "blue print"
