What did DJ NOT say?
- Fuck work on Monday....
- Patriots should have went for it.
- There was 1 competitive game this postseason.....GB vs Dallas.
- They need to keep him away from the balls.
- Well.....I took the over and I have a cheesey chicken lasagna in the oven for dinner and have a brookie (half brownie/half cookie) for dessert.
I'm guessing the first one about work. He doesn't do anything anyway, so no way he misses work. Plus I'm not sure he still has a job though if he does he needs the money and can't afford to miss work. WRONG!!!

The last one is the most DJish statement I have ever read. Yeah - I know. Gotta have at least one of those.

At this time requesting prayers for my mom from those in here that are believers in the power of prayer, especially those associates from FN that migrated here when that site went bellyup. Her name is Meryl if you want to include that in your prayer.
My mom was diagnosed with liver and pancreas cancer a few weeks ago (after a 20 year battle with breast cancer). Yesterday.....she was rushed to the hospital after my dad called 911 because she was having severe pain and difficulty breathing.
She's home now but the prognosis isn't looking very good long term. We will find out the results of the biopsy soon.
You know DJ... as badly as I feel for your mom... you are a Grade A piece of shit! You've posted this on at least 7 threads at the Hoop (maybe more - I don't read them all). And you started posting this over a WEEK ago!!! Yet you haven't even gone to see her??? You're nothing more that what you were at Fan Nation - an attention whore. And in this case, one who stoops to the sorry level of using his ill mother to get more attention and more spotlight. Keep on, fool. You may actually find someone who feels enough compassion for you that you get a BJ out of it.
I wish peace for your mom. You can go fuck yourself. Seriously.

Not mind boggling. Just par for the course. When one is a self-absorbed dick with no redeeming character value short of a "Look-At-Me" complex, his actions are to be expected. Remember when he wrote a tribute blog (to Cowboy Dave?) after the dude died. I think that's who it was. Something like the first two sentences mentioned Dave. The next 7 paragraphs were all about how rough DJ's life was in this rambling mess of self-centered incoherence. He got ripped heartily for that one. It was CD. I remember it clearly. Even the NFL'ers who didn't interact with him remembered that. When I mentioned him on another private thing those guys are on they didn't remember DJ until I mentioned the CD Blog. "Oh yeah. That dipshit."

Here's the one you guys are thinking of. "Compassionate" DJ dedicates about 4 sentences to the actual subject of the blog (Jane Gray in this instance) and prattles on and on about himself for the rest.
RIP Jane Gray
April 11, 2015 DJ This blog was already in the process of being written before I heard the news today on Facebook so I decided to publish it tonight (a little earlier than planned) and dedicate it to Jane Gray. I started it last weekend…..but today I heard one of our bloggers here has passed on. Jane Gray passed away from heart failure on March 4th.
Jane and I “met” online 7-8 years ago on a now defunct sports message board (SI’s Fan Nation) and I remember her being so calm at all times, even when some internet trolls tried to take away the good time a lot of us were having on the sports truth and rumor threads.
Gradually as the website started to decline I started spending more time on FB and I remember her saying she would join….maybe (LOL). I also remember her asking me if this person or so and so was safe to add from FN.
I’ll never forget when David recruited her to the bag. She was so excited, like a kid in a candy store, but she was also nervous as well. I remember her IM’ing me on FB and the messages we shared. I told her to relax, she’d be just fine. She slowly developed into 1 of the better bloggers we have. Her Musings from the Bench blogs were her thoughts on current events and very popular.
She was a classy lady and you will be missed but you got your wings. Prayers go out to your family.
This isn’t the first time I’ved RIP’ed somebody I have never met. And it surely won’t be the last.
Why do I bring this up on a website that was started by David Snipes aka The TD Pimp (where he and I originally met) as an outlet for some passionate sports fans?
Because it’s gradually evolved into a website where anything goes, it’s also an opinion site where we have several talented bloggers that never touch on sports. They talk about current events and things that really matter in the world, outside of sports, which for most of us is a break from reality. Jane’s Musings from the Bench was one of the better ones, despite her initial trepidation when first asked.
David and I “met” on Fan Nation, the very same one where Jane and I met. There are a lot of us that have kept in touch. Very quickly David and I became known for our Throwdowns (each participant got 3 chances to make their arguments in a sports debate and viewers voted on the TD).
I often RIP’ed people in the sports/entertainment world under my screen name (and a few people I got to know on that message board that passed). People have asked me why I do it and I really never answered the question.
Why did I do it and continue to do it on another message board I have since joined?
In one word: compassion.
I learned it at an early age, not to mention I have always been a sentimental person. It’s what makes us human, the ability to feel different emotions (especially compassion and empathy) and in my opinion, there’s nothing wrong with wishing somebody well once they have departed this life.
Even if you didn’t know them. We are all on this journey through life and in a sense, we are all related in one way or another since we are part of the human race. We all have our own trials and tribulations that make each and every day that much more enjoyable to wake up to.
A recent death was Stuart Scott of ESPN and SportsCenter fame. Rich Eisen and Hannah Storm’s tributes were moving enough that you didn’t need to personally know him. Their emotions were raw and real, you didn’t need to know him to understand who he was or what he was about. You could tell he was a true professional and a good human being. I don’t think I’ve seen as much outpouring of well wishers as I have when Scott passed on.
It’s a Wonderful Life is one of my favorite movies and it shows how a person can change another person’s life, wether it be saving one’s life (the subject of the story) or as something as simple as a smile and laugh to brighten another person’s day (something I am known for, I’m a big jokester, people that truly know me know this).
It’s a cliche, but some of the best sayings are. Life’s too short and wether or not you have met the person, the best thing you can do is wish a person well on their journey to the other side.
So…..RIP, Jane.
What a douche.
