I've been wondering about this very thing since 2016. Why are people not offended by his claim that only HE can make America great? Personally, I don't think making America great was ever the main source of his popularity. It was about the permission that was tacitly granted to be as shitty and rude as they want to be. For many people, it was now OK to be a racist, homophobic, misogynist fuckwad and man, this is GREAT! I have to wonder just how much our collective IQ has dropped over the last 8 years. Ignore facts, when in doubt just accept the lies because they are so incredibly comforting. |
