2-1 in game 1. The Blues changed their approach away from the physical intimidation in game 1. Only 3 penalties and the Sharks went 0-fer. Defensive discipline kept SJ out of their preferred helter-skelter mode. Blues effectively forechecked leading to several great scoring opportunities which they failed to capitalize, but it kept SJ wary about turnovers. Sharks looked frustrated. It'll be interesting to see if Hitch goes more aggressive and physical to build on the one-game lead or continue the frustration game. Good start. Good night. Fun game to watch. Congrats Grue. |
