The bullpen is an absolute caricature of itself at this point. Yet again last night they find a way to blow the game. How do you throw a meatball right down the middle of the plate to the one guy in the Tampa lineup that you can't let beat you?

When benintendi was in left field literally every single position player came out of the Boston farm system Betts - great Xander - very good JBJ - solid and replaceable Pedroia- fantastic season No one worth a shit on the entire staff from the system Not fighting, "bedrock" is just a tad bit overstated Ok Literally every position player. Edit- aside from catcher. Swihart and Velazquez are the future, but the oresent is Leon. You can debate the merits of how impactful Shaw, Hanley and Benintendi are, but they are the ones starting. So yeah. |
