Through 4 episodes of "Genius". Mother-in-Law recommended. Solid. Not an absolute "must-see" but the acting is good.

The youngest Daughter and my Wife are watching the Bachelor last night while i read my book in the bedroom and enough of their horrid during the show banter filters through that i realize......... My Wife is in a Bachelor "pool" at her work . You know , like i would be in something important and real like say a pro sports playoff pool?  ?? OMG , WHAT IS SHE TEACHING OUR GIRLS?? LOL |

Anyone watch GLOW on Netflix? It's fun, nothing amazing, but entertaining enough. And episodes are around 25-35 minutes, they vary, so easy to binge. I'm through 8 of 10 episodes

So after seeing the Emmy nominations, I have one question.
How the hell did Michael McKean not get nominated for Best Supporting Actor but Johnathan Banks did? I love "Mike" but he had half the season off (he wasn't even in at least 3 episodes) while this season was all about Chuck... and McKean was fucking brilliant! Take your pick of either the court scene where he broke down or the final 7 minutes of the last episode where he essentially tore his house apart... this season could have been titled "The Demise Of Chuck".

So I've read the comics upto a certain point. Season 1 basically occupies the enemy's of the first 2-3 pages of the comic. So it was able to take liberties to create stuff and characters to kind of set up who the main cast is, it was good. Season 2 has been decent, but unspectacular so far, I'm sure it'll kick into high gear soon though. |
