I was very impressed with Mets CF Juan Lagares play last night. Hung tough as nails, fouling off 98+ MPH offerings from Kelvin Herrera, eventually getting on, then stealing second base. Later on, laid down a picture perfect bunt base hit. His season stats don't look like much, but he sure was a gamer in a losing effort Tuesday. yeah, that was a great at bat He'll be in the lineup tonight after what he did last night

this may have been covered already.....but there is NO WAY that was and 'inside the park HR'... Cespedes got there in plenty of time, was slowing down, was there, fly ball HIT HIM IN THE LEG. If that isn't an error, I don't know what is. It wasnt discussed looked like he actually overran it a little bit, then it kicked off his leg I was surprised he wasn't given a double

And they went on about how you can throw him a 1st pitch fastball..........he flew out, it was routine.

Best AB i saw all night before i went to bed He needs to be in CF with Conforto DH'ing Dont get the Kelly Johnson fascination Collins is playing the snoogins angle, as the poster I am referring to gets ready to dig in against Kershaw. LOL Hoping he will "run into one". He is more likely to swing into a number of Ks.

They have been good since the Cespedes trade.. Did you just stop paying attention to other teams after the all-star break?

Pitches Chris Young has thrown 90 MPH+ by year since 2008: 2015- 8 (last night) 2014- 0 2013- 0 2012- 0 2011- 0 2010- 0 2009- 2 2008- 36 Guy is nearly as big as the "Big Unit". Sometimes batters are so surprised when they see those arms and legs flailing at them that they are way out in front before they can adjust. He sure was amped up last night though...

deGrom & Syndergaard are not going to have much margin for error......Mets shitty lineup wont put up many runs.

You couldnt be wrong on more points in one post # 1 - Why isnt Volquez their best starter? Just because? # 2 - The Home Team winning Game One was imperative.....I think if the Mets win that game last night, and follow that up with De Grom, id say the Mets are the team that has this series wrapped up # 3- The Mets did score runs off Volquez, he labored through every inning but the first #4 - i sooooo want the Mets to LOSE this series, Im just not crazy enough to think its wrapped up

They have been good since the Cespedes trade.. Did you just stop paying attention to other teams after the all-star break? you have Murphy hitting 3rd...... ..280 hitter with no power. Cespedes made his nice free agent walk year run, but not a great hitter. Wright, not right right now, can blow fastballs by him. Granderson, Lagares, DArnaud, Duda, Flores? There is no one in that lineup to be scared of.
If this was a good lineup, they would be the best team in baseball.....but they are not. If they don't do something with that lineup next year, they are in danger of missing the playoffs.
Its why even though they have a FAR superior starting rotation to KC, KC is going to win in 5.

Jacob deGrom is the top Mets SP, i.m.o. "The Hair Game" A must see. The Johnny Cueto who dominated NL lineups and the Johnny Cueto who has a 1.89 ERA when pitching in Kansas City this year, is the Johnny Cueto who shows up tonight.

Ill take that bet I think its more likely than not that Cueto comes out and does well, because even if he doesn't have his good stuff......
he is facing the mets shitty lineup.
