nah, Watkins has the ability to make a decent QB seem good...Look at what Megatron has done for Stafford... And Miles Austin shouldn't be used as insurance for anything since his hamstrings are un-insurable... Nothing is worse than the Texans having Andre Brown as a insurance for Arian Foster. LOL..Real Talk...

"Many states impose innings or pitch limits on high school athletes. However, an official with the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association told ESPN.com that the only rule her organization has is that pitchers who throw four or more innings in a day must be given two days off before pitching again."

That isn't enough. My son had two days rest after throwing 6 innings and threw his arm out. He didn't throw hard, he threw curves and sliders. When I was a kid the rules were: 1. No pitcher may pitch more than 6 innings in a week Mon-Sat. 2. A pitcher must have at least 3 days rest after pitching more than 3 innings. 3. A pitcher must have a full day of rest after pitching 3 innings or less. 4. A pitcher may pitch the next day after pitching in only one inning. Nobody in any league I was in ever threw his arm out or had any arm problems at all.

Poor Mariners. They are off today, thus missing a golden opportunity to extend their losing streak to three games and drop below .500 at the official 1/4 mark in the season.
(Can you believe we are already 1/4th of the way through the season? I must be time for Blade's First Quarter Awards Banquet. No Mariners were nominated but they will be assisting in ushering in the attendees.)

Blades First Quarter Awards: AL ROY - Solarte (with all due respects to Mr Abreu, it has become clear that the level of play in Cuba far exceeds MLB AAA. Sorry but I don't consider first-year Cubans and Japs to be rookies).
NL ROY - It's Owings for now, but George Springer is gaining on him rapidly and should pass him in the next couple weeks.
AL MOY - Bob Melvin or Ron Gardenshire. Take your pick
NL MOY - Mike Redmond. Roenicke, Weiss and Bochy all deserve an honorable mention.
AL CY - Tanaka. It was a close field a couple weeks ago but Tanaka has started distancing himself. 7 walks and 66 strikeouts. Good grief.
NL CY - Cueto. No one else is close but poor Jeff Samardzija. 8 starts, 656 innings, 1.45 ERA and 0 (Zero) wins. How can he have no wins? That's almost criminal. Contract the fucking Cubs.
AL MVP - Abreu. Ortiz, Cruz and Bautista are breathing down his neck.
NL MVP - Tulo. Mind boggling start. He'll be hurt before June.

He played left field in high school and hit real well. After that he gave it up for girls like my brother had done all those years ago. LOL They had zero rules on how many innings kids could pitch. Some teams would pitch the same guy every game. They had stealing with 60 ft bases just like they do in the majors. So any time a kid got on he would end up on 3rd. When I played you couldn't steal in the lower leagues until the ball had hit the catcher's glove.
