I would absolutely love a team in Houston. An honest-to-God in-state rivalry would help grow the game further down here. And unlike that cesspool Miami - there are a ton of transplants from up north who would help support that growth as opposed to a truckload of Mexicans and Cubans.
That said - Seattle would make more sense.. and the Buttplug is still infatuated with Vegas.

Seattle doesn't have an arena as of yet I'm pretty doubtful they'll let it move to the east which takes the ex-WHA cities out as I said before they screwed up when they tried to go National they need to go regional cause as I always say the only passion in sports bigger than love is hate which is why I believe Houston is a logical place although I would really bet that if they move it'll be LV Portland or Seattle Although if they move to Seattle they would have to play at the Key or TacomaDome until an arena was built.and Vegas' won't ne complete for another year which is why I still think Portland is the best short term bet. And with Paul Allen being owner of the Moda Center (previously Rose Garden) There is money there. Portland also has a long hockey history in the WHL both Jr (Winterhawks) and minor pro (Buckaroos) |

The court battle will almost assure this although if it's expedited and they(Coyotes) lose I could see them saying stick it to Glendale CC and going back to whatever the name America West Arena is called now and joining the Suns in trying to get a new Arena in Scottsdale as rumor has it the Suns want. Remember when teams used to play at classic arenas like MLG and the forum in Montreal the Gah-dens in Beantown the pipe organ at the Chicago Stadium now it's always they play in one of the oldest arena in the league. I still think they'll be playing in Glendale one more year, because I doubt another city could put together a package fast enough to be ready when the season starts. |

Bite your tongue There is NO WAY they contract 2 teams especially now that franchise prices are through the roof., Tell me how many owners are going to want to pay 30 M apiece to get rid of the teams then there are the players under contract that would have to be bought out. Or the other side of the coin they receive 30 M and have no headaches and then when teams move to QC and GTA they collect relocation fees |
