It's the NFL off-season and enough about the "play call" of the SB! Let's do something different.
Name your favorite NFL Player of All-Time. You don't need to feel you have to justify your answer. Just name him, that's it!
I'll go first.
Walter Payton

The most amazing and moving but very sad photograph that I ever saw in sports history is of Yelberton Abraham Tittle vs. the Steelers (when they were doormats) after he threw an interception and was hit so gawdammned hard that he cracked his sternum and had a massive concussion. I never was fortunate enough to witness him playing, but my father told me that Y.A. was his favorite, over Starr, Johnny U, Namath and all of them. What a warrior.

Those years as the Giants QB were what got me hooked on the game. Great stuff. The championship loss in 63 and the shot he took in that game were something to see. The game has " tamed" down a lot from those days. Hit a RB five yards out of bounds and drive him into the bench wasn't even a penalty, that is why they did not do this running out of bounds all the time, you would get hit anyways, so what was the point.

One of the highlights of my visit to the Pro Football Hall of Fame... seeing that picture and right beneath it - that helmet. That is one serious crack.

He broke my heart in SB IV. I was pulling for Kapp and the Vikes at the time as Dallas was out and Kapp had the CFL history. But I'm going with another Taylor. Lawrence. Yes, he was a Giant and not a Cowboy but I thought he was great. On deck would be Ronnie Lott. Also not a Cowboy but when he stopped Ickey Woods DEAD in SB XXIII I leapt from my chair. Seems I like the hitters...

Roger. No last name necessary. Good choice Otis. I tried to come up with a Cowboy (or even a Patriot) but couldn't.

Mr. Lilly is #2 - he personally autographed a copy of his book for my father in law and shows up for his lodge golf tournaments when he can. Not to mention he was the best defensive tackle in the history of the Cowboys (with a tip of the cap to #54). Good to have you here Hank. And I agree. Hope this is the last stop.

The Monday Night game when he blew up Bosworth was just WOW.
