Hope you Packer fans enjoyed that kick in the nuts as much as we Cowboys fans enjoyed that kick in the nuts last week.
Hope you did very much.

So to make him feel better, I pointed out that this collapse wasn't nearly as bad as the Oilers collapse against the Bills in 1993. I have a little compassion.

Salt of the earth you are. Believe it or not, I just started watching the HBO series Deadwood. I'm only into episode 3 but was pleased to see Raylan Givins as the former lawman from Montana!!!

Anyone think the Seahawks offense is capable of scoring two TD's and shutting the packers out the rest of the way? I don't. Hell no. In-con-thiev-able.

So... this morning Packers fans are piling on the kid Bostick for his mishandling of the on-side kick. Even heard one or two "bad karma" threats directed at the kid.
Here's a thought, you morons. You had the ball three times in the first quarter... including TWICE in the first two drives inside the damn 5 yard line... and only came away with 13 points. Just one more touchdown on either of those two drives and you aren't even thinking about the need for an onside kick down the road.
To BLAME Bostick for losing this game (which is what I read from those idiots) is irresponsible. Morons.

Bad things happen to teams that play not to lose vs playing to win. Why do teams change their defense that worked well for 55 minutes to that "prevent" stuff? Is there some stat out there to support it? Just askin' Happens all the time. Was not the defense you were playing set up to prevent stuff?

I'm still asking myself where that safety was on those two passes in OT. He damn sure wasn't providing deep help. And with the amount of air those passes had under them there was plenty of opportunity to roll coverage support that way.
Capers is probably asking himself the same question this morning... and will be for the next few months.

I said to myself before it happened, " Self, they will fake that field goal, defend against it and give them a FG "...Honest...The special teams coach has some splainin' to do if I am the HC. Honestly, how many FGs does any team block in a year? Should you not make your priority on defense to always be set to defend the fake? Regardless, fourth and less than one, twice, and you don't go for it in the first quarter ON THE ROAD? what does that tell your offense? and what message does it tell the other team?

You telling me that you don't have ONE guy who's sole responsibility is to watch for that? Hell - bring ten if you want. But SOMEONE has to be there to keep 'em honest!

But SOMEONE has to be there to keep 'em honest! I looked for that on the replay. It looked like Green Bay rushed 9 and dropped back 2. IMO you overload blitz (maybe 5 or 6 guys) one section of the field goal formation. And you drop everyone else back into coverage. Read an article this morning on how the Seahawks noticed in film that the Packers really like to pinch those ends with max effort and push. They took advantage of that over aggressiveness. Places even more emphasis on those two guys "dropped" to be aware of that fake potential.
I read before the Packers/Cowboys game how the Packers special teams overall were "average" at best. Kept hoping the Cowboys could do something to take advantage of that. Glad to see the Seahawks did.

That was an epic game for the last 4 minutes, and then the overtime.
I can`t say the best team lost, but as far as that game, the best team in that game did.

I hadn't realized how suspect they were because Green Bay kept impressing me with their kickoff coverage: seemed to consistently hold Seattle's return man inside their own 20. But after that fake field goal and the onside kick recovery, the special teams impact and advantage became apparent. Only reason the Seahawks/Cowboys score in October was as close as it was had to do with Seattle's special teams being just flat out better across the board. They have my respect. Hope Garrett took notes.
